Yahoo! or rather Ya..who?

Yahoo Inc. to cut jobs again after first quarter revenue fell by 13 percent.

SAN FRANCISCO -

Yahoo Inc. will lay off nearly 700 workers after getting off to a bumpy start under a tough-talking new boss who has promised to engineer a long-awaited turnaround at one of the Internet's best-known franchises.

Neither the lackluster first-quarter results nor the job cuts announced Tuesday came as a surprise.

Analysts had already predicted Yahoo's three-year slump would worsen during the first three months of the year, and hints about the payroll purge were leaked to the media last week.

Ahh, no surprise here, performance went down, revenue follows. And talking about performance, on a personal level, I submitted my blog to Yahoo about two weeks ago, and till this day if check on Yahoo site explorer it shows I have no pages.

And yes I did add Yahoo’s meta tag in my home page for authentication. So until now you cannot find Blogger Sentral on Yahoo!. I bet my case is not an isolated one.

If it doesn’t change for the better really fast Yahoo! popularity will sink deeper and soon it will forgotten by internet users.

Maybe the next time you mention the word Yahoo! (if you do at all), the instant reply you get is Yahoo who?

Do you have a gripe about Yawho? Yahoo? Share it in the comments below.

Yes it seems as if Yahoo is in Yahell over its decisions.I am somewhat annoyed over its threats to shut down Yahoo360 blogging/social networking site plus the Geocities homepages site as well.If Yahoo wanted better uptake over its services then they should put all of its services on the links of its website plus all other national website/portals.Then watch the response to its services that become more clearly available. It is to be hoped that Yet Another Heirarchical Officious Oracle(Yahoo)is said in jest.I also think that Google also should put its services on that blank canvas of its search engine site also.

@cbmilne33 well put! All they have to do is listen to their users once in a while, it's for their own good.

I try to use yahoo answers to promote certain ideas. I do very thoughtful and correct answers, yet other yahoo members like to bad rate for political gain (Hubris).
